Most people believe in standing up for themselves. After all, when we are wronged, our instinct is often to get even, protect our rights, or make sure others feel what we have felt.
But Jesus takes the conversation deeper. Looking at His teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, we discover that His followers are called to respond differently. Rather than being driven by retaliation, they are invited to overcome evil with unexpected generosity, humility, and self-sacrifice.
This message explores God's invitation to go beyond what is required, choosing a path that reflects His character even when it comes at a personal cost.
It invites us to consider:
When we are wronged, are we merely seeking what is fair, or are we willing to love in ways that go the extra mile?
