Most people believe in loving those who love them. After all, it is natural to show kindness to friends, care for family, and love those who treat us well.
But Jesus takes the conversation much deeper. Looking at His teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, we discover that His followers are called to a different kind of love—one that extends beyond those who deserve it and reaches even those who oppose us.
This message explores God's invitation to love as He loves. A love that is not determined by the behaviour of others, but flows from the character of God Himself.
It invites us to consider:
Are we merely loving those who love us, or learning to love as God loves?
